Vitis arizonica  Canyon Grape
DECIDUOUS WOODY VINE.  Leaves are pointed, slightly fuzzy, broadly triangular or heart-shaped, with sharply toothed margins.  Starry spikes of greenish yellow flowers bloom in May.  Grapes are small (less than 1 cm.), dark blue to purplish-black with a whitish bloom, ripe in late summer.  A riparian vine, common along streams.  Climbs into trees and shrubs, often forming large tangled curtains.  In the Empires, confined to Davidson Canyon and several other large sandy washes.
