Rafinesquia neomexicana  Desert Chicory
ANNUAL.  White flowers, 2-3 cm in diameter, have pinkish red streaks on the underside.  Blooms in March-April.  Nearly identical to Calycoseris wrightii but is taller, blooms earlier, and has smooth stems and calyces, with no glands or hairs.  In the Empires, common among shrubs in desert upland and desert grassland.
