Dichelostema capitatum  Desert Hyacinth
PERENNIAL.  Grows from a small bulb.  Hollow, round, grasslike leaves are few and inconspicuous.  Pale lavender flowers in March-April depending on elevation.  In the Empires, common throughout on slopes and ridgetops in desert and grassland, though few flowers appear in dry years.
