Boerhavia coccinea  Red Spiderling
PERENNIAL.  Prostrate, with long hairy green stems and tiny clusters of minute magenta flowers.  Leaves hairy, pointed oval to heart-shaped.  Common on bare sandy ground in desertscrub.  Blooms April-September.  Often growing with Allionia incarnata, which has similar foliage but larger, lighter pink flowers that are not clustered.
