Asclepias macrotis  Longhood Milkweed
PERENNIAL.  A low-growing milkweed with dense clusters of wiry stems and narrow grasslike leaves.  Stems and leaves are smooth and dark green.  Spidery-looking flowers are greenish yellow with pink stripes. Blooms in early summer.  An uncommon Borderland species.  In the Empires, occasional on limestone ridges.
