Allium macropetalum  Desert Onion
PERENNIAL.  Tiny sprigs of narrow, cylindrical leaves. Fowers 1-1.5 cm, shining white with pink stripes, clustered at the top of the stem.  One of the earliest spring bloomers in March-April.  Flowerstalks rarely over 20 cm. tall, usually shorter. In the Empires, occasional on white marble hills.
